Thank You!

Hiiiiiii! Hope you all are enjoying your challenges!! Ab challenge and Squats challenge. I know I am DYING!!!  Also if you haven't started yet it is never too late!!!! I know a lot of you have Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to work off so get on it!
I have been noticing I have a lot of readers from a variety of different countries and just wanted to make sure you all know I have the Google Translate Bar on the right hand side of my blog! All you do is choose your preferred language and click translate! And my entire blog translates itself! I previously had the bar on the bottom right hand side but I have now moved it to the top so you guys can find it quicker. I hope this helps!
It has only been 2 weeks since my blog has been live and I am overwhelmed with all the emails and support I am getting! I have even had a Senior Editor from a beauty company contact me all the way from NEW YORK to have little old me help her with her page!! Amazing! Thank you to each and every one of you who have given me your time to read what I have to say! It means the world!!! Also don't forget to follow me on Twitter! Thanks again! You guys are awesome! Xx

Justfab LUXE Gillen (Red)

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! I have tried a few shoes from the new LUXE line at JustFab. I will do separate articles for each item. Here is the Gillen shoe in red! I am sure everyone has all had their Dorothy ruby slipper dream (mine was always ruby encrusted pointe shoes but that still hasn't happened....and let's be real...) and I got my fix with Gillen!!!

She (yes, I just referred to my shoes as "she") is a GORGEOUS red and has rhinestones all over including the strap! She is also real suede. Because of the D'orsay style, if you have wide feet I would say order a half size up. But for me it was true to size and very comfortable. This shoe feels sturdy, and LOW! I know friends that don't usually do the height when it comes to heels but ordered the Gillen due to the "ruby slipper complex" and they were surprised how easy she is to rock!

Now you may be thinking, "Hey! I've seen that shoe before!!" Well yes you have. Steve Madden is now the manufacturer of the LUXE line for JustFab. So pretty much all of the shoes are exactly the same (if not nicer) but without the hefty Steve Madden price point. The Steve Madden shoe is the Deeny-R. Which sells online for 150$ at Steve Madden and upwards on other sites.

If you watch Nashville you will have seen the character "Scarlett" wear it in a couple colours and in a few different episodes. Here is my favourite look she paired them with:
Looks like I am going to have to order the black!

The Deeny-R however, doesn't have the rhinestones on the strap! It also has thicker sides so less prominent D'Orsay style. Gillen is an example of a Luxe line shoe that is actually nicer than its Steve Madden doppelgänger. For following articles I will try to post pictures of the Steve Madden original and the Luxe line. And of course their prices. Here it is on  Justfab Canada and Justfab USA  for 79$. Right now for Black Friday week they have 20$ off all LUXE line items. So for $59 you can't miss out on these! Also if you are a new member and use my link then you get half off your first purchase, which includes the Luxe line! So these shoes would be 40$! What are you waiting for??? Xx

Romaine Lettuce Paleo Burgers!

Hiiii! So since doing the double 30 day challenges on top of my regular workouts, I have been craving a juicy burger. Not to mention Pepsi and rootbeer but we won't even go there right now. I figured I would try making my own version of a Paleo burger.
I chose extra extra lean ground beef but you can do lean ground turkey. Added my special seasoning including cayenne (boosts metabolism) and a lot of crushed scotch bonnet. (I like spicy!!!)

I added a couple eggs but just the whites. I put yokes in a little snack baggy to use for scrambled eggs for the kids in the week or baking. :)

I grated a whole medium onion, (you can also grate carrots or parsnips as well) and made them into  slider size patties.

I used the frying pan this time cuz it's like -24 out and I'm not turning on the BBQ.

I made my own BBQ sauce and added that Pepsi I was craving! And of course some more scotch bonnet ;)

I used small-med sized Roma tomatoes.

And the healthiest version of slaw sauce/ burger sauce I could find ;) To counter the bacon the cheese :/

I know people use iceberg lettuce or spinach but I figured I would make do with some romaine hearts.

Finished product! I ate two and they were amazing!!!! Xx

Fitness Challenge- Squats!!

Hiiiiiii! So it's day 4 of the 30 day ab challenge! Which means rest day!!! For your ABS! The perfect time to start a different 30 Day Challenge!!! This is the 30 day squat challenge I found on Facebook. I have done this challenge about 3 times and does it ever make you feel it! This one I find that close to the end I had to break up times in the day to do sets of 50 because my legs hurt so bad.
It is easy because you can do squats watching your fave fall show, in the shower, putting on makeup or doing your hair, cooking dinner, washing dishes, scrolling through facebook and reading blogs! Get up and let's do it!!!! This helps your thighs and butt look amazing in this season filled with tight yoga pants and leather leggings! Wooo! Xx

The Search For The Perfect Sports Bra (VSX Sports Bra "The Standout")

Hiiii! It's Tuesday!!! Today is DAY 2 of the 30 DAY AB CHALLENGE!!! It's not too late to join in now! (Do Day 1 in the morning and Day 2 in the evening as they are very light workouts and don't take very long so early in the challenge)
This is a product review of a sports bra I just purchased, it is " The Standout " by Victoria's Secret! Not only is this bra beautiful but it is super comfy!!! I usually shop online at Victoria's Secret (VS). But this time I really wanted to compare fabrics and quality and size in person. I really wanted a good quality sports bra that looked cute, felt comfy, gave me the ultimate support for high impact sports (running, tennis, Zumba etc) and of course, a bra that didn't give me the dreaded "uni-boob".
I was looking at Under Armour, Nike and Lululemon before I came across this bra. The search for the perfect sports bra took me MONTHS!!! The one I almost bought and came quite close to buying was the "Booby Bracer " at Lululemon. But for 88$ CAD it felt weird and it wasn't the greatest looking. (It comes in a few colours which are great, just not what I was looking for exactly, almost too old for my age?) Now I have friends that love the Lululemon bras, but for me it just didn't feel worth the 88$. You can decide for yourself Here. "Shop Lululemon"
Victoria's Secret won hands down for me. The price was better than 88$ but still kind of expensive at 59.50$ CAD. But there was the added bonus of having the reflective piping around the bra so -if need be- I could wear it outside at night and be safe. The feel is just out-of-this-world amazing! Soft like your favourite tee and get this, IT ALLOWS ME TO HAVE TWO BOOBS!!!! They stay put in situations where they would usually be out of control in another sports bra and I've got to say, the wicking throughout the entire bra works pretty well!
The colour I bought was "Shore Club/Black Foil Mesh". They come in band sizes from 32-38 and cup sizes from B-DDD. I say the cup fit was true to my regular bra size but I did go up in band size from my regular bra size. I am guessing because of the extra padding along the band and it's closure. The cup itself is lightly lined so there isn't any cold weather mishaps but it isn't padded or thick feeling like a lot of other bras. Prices range from $49.50 upwards depending on size and colours. The website says it is machine washable and tumble dry but I would recommend hand washing it and laying it to dry because of the molded cups. Also no fabric softener as this clogs the breathable pores in the wicking materials!
Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and it has proved to be worth the 59.50$. I will be back soon to purchase another one in a different colour as I don't want to wear any other sports bra ever again! Xx

Reese Puff Muffins???

Hiiiiii! Okay so not the healtiest of treats but my kids LOVE Reese anything, so I finally gave in and bought this. I'm not usually the bake from a box type but when you have kids you do crazy things. So I'm not really a huge fan of the cereal or anything Reese but it was okay. To me this was more of a cupcake then a muffin, taste wise, sweetness wise and of course calorie wise. The kids loved them so mission accomplished. The back of the box says 170 calories each....with little nutritional value, I won't be buying them again ....at least for this year. But it served its purpose as a treat. And little Emmett got to help make them. :) We found them at Walmart in the baking section if you are a Reese lover too! Enjoy! Xx

In the process. You put the batter in and then they've included a "streusel" for the top.

Finished product took about 13 mins at 425*

Well, I guess it's Winter...

Hiiiiiii! Happy Monday! Today is DAY 1 of the 30 DAY AB CHALLENGE! Get your sweat on and warm up!!!
So as of yesterday we officially have lots of that fluffy white stuff! Snow! I guess it is officially winter! Not sure I'm in love with winter, as beautiful as it is. It is way too cold for me! And of course all the dangers of driving in this weather! This tells me it's time to travel!! (Somewhere warm hopefully!) At least the kids like it...Be safe out there! Xx
